
The Aurora Mindfulness Programme
The programme helps to develop a different relationship to one’s body and mind.
That said, it is more about acceptance than it is about ‘curing’ anything, although other treatments may be enhanced by combining them with Mindfulness.
Any condition exacerbated by stress can be helped, but contra-indicated in a mixed group like this are current severe depression, active psychosis, and current substance abuse.
If you are in therapy already, and your therapist is happy for you to participate, then please continue with the therapy during this course.
The course can be helpful in conjunction with, or as a follow-up to CBT, in cases of panic, generalised anxiety disorder, chronic fatigue syndrome, obsessive compulsive disorder and for people recovering from depression.
