An Indian Head Massage works in a seated position on the shoulders, neck, scalp and face. The therapist may also work along your arms and hands, and the treatment is usually balanced with some grounding work on your feet.
A vegetable-based oil (such as almond or apricot) is used to help the therapist's hands move across the body.
Techniques are used such as kneading, friction, vibration and percussion, all designed to be relaxing and restoring.
